Warranty Terms and Conditions – BYD Chargers
1. Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty applies to Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers (“Product”) sold and
installed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by BYD KSA (“Manufacturer” or “Seller”). The
warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
2. Warranty Period
- The Product is warranted for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase or date of installation, whichever is earlier.
3. What is Covered
- Replacement or repair of defective internal components.
- On-site support in cases where remote resolution is not possible.
- Software or firmware updates that resolve product functionality issues.
4. What is Not Covered
- Damage due to misuse, abuse, accident, fire, flood, lightning, or acts of God.
- Improper installation, including installation not in accordance with local electrical codes
- or product guidelines.
- Use of non-approved accessories or modifications.
- Consumables or cosmetic defects that do not affect performance.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Downtime or loss of business due to charger malfunction.
- Labor cost for repair
- Misuse, cuts, or breakage; tampering or unauthorized modifications; improper product
opening; failure to adhere to operating instructions; water damage to non-water-resistant
products; external maintenance or use of incompatible accessories; or chargers installed by
contractors not approved by SEC.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- The Product must be installed, operated, and maintained as per the user manual and
- SASO-approved guidelines.
- The EV charger must be installed by authorized contractor from the Saudi Electricity Company, ensuring that the installation certificate of completion (CoC) is properly signed and stamped with the official seal from the contractor. Installation by an unauthorized contractor will result in charger being excluded from warranty coverage.
- Keep original purchase receipt and installation certificate.
- Report warranty claims to byd.ksa@charge2moov.com within 7 days of noticing the issue.
- Provide safe and unrestricted access to the unit for inspection and repair.

6. Warranty Claim Procedure
1. Contact byd.ksa@charge2moov.com or an authorized service provider.
2. Submit the product serial number, installation certificate, and proof of purchase/ charger
undertaking form.
3. Allow product evaluation by certified technicians.
7. Remedies
- Repair the Product at no cost.
- Replace the Product with a new or refurbished unit.
- Refund the purchase price (if repair or replacement is not feasible).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BYD KSA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or
consequential damages resulting from use or inability to use the Product.
9. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed and interpreted under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, and subject to SASO and KSA Consumer Protection Authority guidelines.
10. Site Visit & EV Charger Installation Policy
Recommended Installer (by BYD KSA)
If the charger installation was carried out by one of our recommended installers, we offer
site visits (including free replacement installation) at no additional cost for any faults
occurring within two years, in accordance with the Ministry of Commerce guidelines.
Third-Party Installer
For installations performed by third-party providers:
- Clients are requested to share the details outlined in the Troubleshooting Requirements Document (available with parts advisors).
- If the customer wishes for BYD KSA to investigate the issue or install a replacement charger via a recommended installer, a service fee will be charged, to be agreed upon between the customer and the installer.
